Jennifer Lahl

Jennifer Lahl is the founder and National director of the Center for Bioethics and Culture Network.She received her B.S. in Nursing and Public Health Certification from California State University at Fullerton, California and her M.A. (with honors) in Bioethics from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. She spent 15 years working in pediatric critical care nursing, hospital administration and 10 years in senior level nursing management.

Ms. Lahl has worked on several nursing related writing projects including Basic Maternal Pediatric Nursing (1995) and served for three years as assistant editor for "Facts and Comparisons", Nurses Drug Facts . In her capacity as National Director of the CBC, her writings have appeared in several publications including the San Francisco Chronicle, "Always On: The Insiders Network", and the American Journal of Bioethics. She serves on several boards including the North American editorial board for the international journal, Ethics and Medicine and the Board of Reference for Joni Eareckson Tada's Institute on Disability . She has been interviewed on many radio talk shows and television programs and participated on several platforms as a panelist or debater on many bioethics issues and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.

Since founding the CBC she has continued to combine her management and her professional skills. Her writings in bioethics have added to public education in a variety of media outlets. She has spoken at numerous events, including the Willie Brown Stem Cell Symposium with Senator Tom McClintock, former U.S. Secretary of State George Schultz, William Hurlbut M.D., Wesley J. Smith J.D. and many members of the scientific community. She has spoken at the San Francisco Commonwealth Club and the National Press Club, debated Hank Greely J.D. of Stanford University and has been interviewed for ABC, CBC, PBS and NPR. She was invited by Members of the European Parliament in Brussels to address the issue of egg trafficking. She is a founding Director of Every Woman First which seeks to raise issues concerning the harm to women in egg harvesting practices in an international movement handsoffourovaries.com.

Under the leadership of Ms. Lahl the CBC has hosted and supported many successful public events aimed at bringing people with different points of view together while working to support and promote human dignity for all.
