Ronna Detrick Miller

Ronna Detrick Miller has been journeying with others in their faith both formally and informally for a number of years. The privilege of hearing individual stories makes her increasingly aware of God's larger story, the story she most loves and which she addictively, ceaselessly re-imagines, re-writes, and re-tells in ways that (hopefully) invite redemption, passion, and life. A speaker, teacher, and trainer for over fifteen years in both religious and secular settings, she also serves as a spiritual director, walking alongside others as they travel toward and with God.

Ronna received her bachelor's degree in Business and Communication from Whitworth College and her Master of Divinity degree as well as a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Mars Hill Graduate School in Seattle, Washington. She is now employed there as the Director of Conferences, marketing the institution in provocative and transformative ways around the country through the voices of those who work, teach, write, and lead within the school. With a deep heart for her own and others' leadership she has been instrumental in creating The Leadership Crucible, a three-day experiential learning environment that ushers leaders into profound and surprising levels of vulnerability, honesty, and growth.

A woman with more to say than she has time to speak or write, her favorite and most passionate topics are inspired by Biblical narratives–particularly those of women who are often overlooked, misinterpreted, and/or misunderstood. You can read about one of her favorites, the woman at the well, in A Second Look. Currently working toward the dream of a book, Ronna hopes to challenge women to levels of extravagance, risk, and life that far exceed their wildest dreams.

Though her life is full with work, commuting, keeping up a home, blogging, friends, and family, Ronna's highest priority and most extreme joy comes from being a mother to the two most amazing, brilliant, witty, compassionate, strong young girls in all the world: Emma and Abby.
