NamedTami Helm, as president and CEO of the Christian Leadership Alliance on November 14. She is a past executive of Borders and Thomas Nelson.

RetiredTerry Schlossberg, as renewal advisor of the Presbyterian Coalition on November 18. She was previously executive director of the renewal group.

DiedGeorge Gallup Jr., a pioneer in using polling research to study religion, on November 21 in New Jersey. He was 81.

DiedCortez Cooper, former moderator of the Presbyterian Church in America’s General Assembly, on October 25. He was 80.

ReturningKevin Vanhoozer, to his former position as research professor of systematic theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois. He has been the Blanchard Professor of Theology at the Wheaton College Graduate School since 2009.

Died •  William Dewey Presley, Texas banking leader who helped numerous Christian causes, including Dallas Baptist University and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, on November 10. He was 93.

AppointedMark L. Sargent, as provost and dean of faculty at Westmont College. The 30-year Christian higher-ed veteran was previously provost of Gordon College.

ElectedRoy Medley, as president-elect of the National Council of Churches on November 9. He is currently the general secretary of American Baptist Churches USA and will take office on January 1, 2014.

Died •  Leo Godzich, founder and CEO of the National Association for Marriage Enhancement, on October 27 in a car accident in Uganda. He was 52.
