ResignedMark Earley, as president and CEO of Prison Fellowship, for personal reasons. Chief operating officer Curtis Kemp announced his own resignation the same day.

DiedMildred Jefferson, trailblazing doctor who became the pro-life movement’s leading orator, on October 15 at her home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was 84.

InauguratedCarol A. Taylor, as ninth president of Vanguard University. Taylor, previously the California school’s provost, becomes the sixth female president in the Christian Council of Colleges and Universities.

DiedAllan C. Emery, past president and COO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, on September 26 in Weymouth Heights, Massachusetts. He was 91.

FiredRon Nolen, as executive director of the Texas/American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches, by the organization’s board in September. Nolen had led the fellowship since 2006.

DiedEvelyn Miranda-Feliciano, a pioneering Filipino Christian author, on August 26 after a stroke. She was 69.

Promoted • Sergey Rakhuba, as president of Peter Deyneka Russian Ministries.

DiedBill Basanky, charismatic church planter across the former Soviet Union, on September 9 in Fort Myers, Florida. He was 78.
