In just five weeks the International Congress on World Evangelization will convene in Lausanne, Switzerland. A letter was sent out over Billy Graham’s signature and mine asking financial help for Third World participants. The response has been good. However, there is still a need for funds. This is a worthy investment, and we hope that many more churches and individuals will respond. Checks can be made out to the International Congress on World Evangelization. Send contributions (they are tax deductible) to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55403.
We are happy to report that one of our editorial staff members, Cheryl Forbes, just received the A.M. in literature from the University of Maryland. Her thesis was “Landscape for Imagination,” an analysis of C. S. Lewis’s Narnia tales. Cheryl’s particular responsibilities are the letters-to-the-editor column and The Refiner’s Fire, for which she generates ideas and solicits essays. We encourage other staff members this side of the Ph.D. to keep on with their education. In our work we can never know too much, and most of us know well that we can know too little!1
