Special guest Kutter Callaway joins the show to talk about fear and his newest podcast, CT’s Be Afraid. Eric Kohn of the Acton Institute distills the complexities of the House and introduces us to the new Speaker, and Bible teacher Jen Wilkin shares new research about women’s compensation in the church.
Joining us this week: Kutter Callaway is the William K. Brehm Chair of Worship, Theology, and the Arts, as well as associate dean of the Center for Advanced Theological Studies, and associate professor of theology and culture at Fuller Seminary. He is author and contributor to several books, and his most recent book is Theology for Psychology and Counseling: An Invitation to Holistic Christian Practice. Some of his past titles include Techno-Sapiens in a Networked Era: Becoming Digital Neighbors, which he coauthored with Fuller’s Ryan Bolger; The Aesthetics of Atheism: Theology and Imagination in Contemporary Culture; and Deep Focus: Film and Theology in Dialogue.
Eric Kohn is director of marketing and communications at the Acton Institute. In that role, he works to bring Acton’s vision of a free and virtuous society characterized by individual liberty and sustained by religious principles to a wider audience. He is a producer of the award-winning film The Hong Konger: Jimmy Lai’s Extraordinary Struggle for Freedom, the newest documentary feature from the Acton Institute, released in 2022. He’s the executive producer of Acton’s podcast network, where he hosts the weekly roundtable podcast, Acton Unwind, and is a part-time host of Acton Line, Acton’s weekly interview podcast.
Jen Wilkin is an author and Bible teacher from Dallas, Texas. She has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts. An advocate for Bible literacy, her passion is to see others become articulate and committed followers of Christ, with a clear understanding of why they believe what they believe, grounded in the Word of God.
