Kara Powell: Reaching Young Adults

During the "driver's license to marriage license hiatus," young adults tend to leave the church and their faith. How should we—and the church—respond?

Dr. Kara Powell, author of Sticky Faith, discusses some of her research surrounding the discouraging trend that many young people leave the church (and their faith) in high school or college, with about 50% returning. She suggests that the church can help by intentionally connecting with young people on the topic of work and faith, and finding opportunities for young people to share their abilities and talents with the greater community.
