A testament to the power of resilience and faith, Circleslide's second album was almost washed away in the floods that hit Nashville earlier this year. Unbowed, the quartet charged ahead, and were able to save this urgent, growling, and soulful set of songs. It is frequently galvanizing stuff, but starts to wear after a half hour of volume and bombast. The band stirs the soul with a few quieter closing tracks ("You Are Everything" is particularly lovely), but it might be an endurance test for some listeners to make it that far.
